Reading Culture Fall 2017 begins

The series officially starts Thursday, Sept. 14 at 12:30pm in the Spring Branch Eagle Room.
There will be an introduction to the country of Mexico with Geography Prof. Bryant Evans and a brief introduction to the novel with English Prof. Melissa Miller-Waters.

Reading Culture a wonderful initiative by a diverse group of interdisciplinary faculty members starts next week. This is an initiative that strives to build empathy and understanding of folks different than ourselves through the lens of literature. This Fall the novel selected by the committee is “Like Water For Chocolate” with a focus on the country of Mexico. We have an enriching series of free events planned for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy.
