Certified Nurse Aid
Learn the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities, and prepare you for entry-level employment, not only in facilities, but also in hospitals, home health, hospice agencies, and doctors’ offices.
Learn about resident’s rights, communication, safety observation, reporting, and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety. Learn theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws and interactions within and among social systems associated with the nurse aide occupation.
Program & Costs
Classes are Monday through Thursday 4 hours a day for a total of 9 weeks (144 hours). There are two portions to the program: classroom theory and lab, and clinical, with the following description:
- Nurse Aide for Health Care Organizations - 96 hours ($389.00)
- Clinical Nurse Assistant - 48 hours ($261.00)
- Entire Program - 144 ($650.00)
- Books and equipment also required
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or pass the TABE test with an 8 th grade reading ability
- Hepatitis B Series
- Mandatory Orientation
