As a Microsoft IT Academy Program, HCC-Northwest Continuing Education offers courses to assist you in entering the exciting technology field and in becoming a Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
What is an MCSA?

Microsoft Certified Systems Administrators are qualified to effectively administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the ongoing need for Windows Server 2003-based operating environments.
Microsoft recommends that prospective MCSA students have 12 months of experience working with a desktop operating system, a network operating system, and an existing network infrastructure.
Certification Requirements:
- Two Networking System Exams
- One Client Operating System Exam
- One Elective Exam
What is an MCSE?
In addition to MCSA qualifications, Microsoft Certified System Engineers are qualified to effectively plan, implement, and design information systems with Microsoft's Windows Server 2003.
Microsoft recommends that prospective MCSE students have 6 to 12 months of experience administering client and network operating systems.
Certification Requirements:
- Four Networking System Exams
- One Client Operating System Exam
- One Design Exam
- One Elective Exam
