Concert featuring "American Honor" Band happening Sunday, June 29th

HOUSTON, TX (June 25, 2008) Northwest College’s Lone Star Symphonic Band will present “America’s Honor”, two patriotic concerts for America’s birthday, this Sunday, June 29.

Both concerts, directed by Music Director Robert Bryant, will be in Theater I of the Town & Country Campus Performing Arts Center. There will be an afternoon matinee at 3 p.m.  and an evening concert at 7 p.m.

The wide variety of selections will include “Highlights from West Side Story”, “Bugler’s Holiday”, “America the Beautiful” and a special “Armed Forces Salute”. Also, patrons will be treated to the concert premiere of “Processional to the Community,” a new concert march for band, dedicated to Houston Community College by Dr. Aubrey Tucker.
