Hunt Is On for New HCC Student Ambassadors
Houston Community College Northwest is looking for several qualified students to apply for the Student Ambassador Program. Student Ambassadors are representatives of the college who support college initiatives and work closely with the Student Life and Public Relations Offices.
As an HCC Northwest College Student Ambassador you will:
- Represent Northwest College at recruiting and student life events/programs.
- Facilitate the recruitment of new students.
- Participate in the development and implementation of student life office events/programs.
- Serve as host and tour guide for prospective students and campus guests.
Student Ambassadors will receive:
- A $500.00 per semester stipend provided that at least 50 service hours have been completed. At least 35 service hours must be completed in order to receive any stipend amount.
- Any apparel items as deemed necessary by advisor.
- Nametag
All Student Ambassadors must:
- Be enrolled at Northwest College.
- Hold the position for a minimum of one year.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong interpersonal skills.
- Be able to commit to a minimum of 50 service hours per semester.
- Attend required meetings.
- Attend professional development programs.
- Have a minimum of 12 hours of college credit at Northwest College, and be in good academic standing.
