HCC's new Military Education Program offerings are progressing with multiple partnerships with military branches and Reserve Officers Training Corps programs to cultivate future military leaders.

This holiday season, Houston Community College (HCC) celebrated the achievements of nearly 1,400 graduates on December 13, 2024, at a joyous commencement ceremony held at the NRG Arena. The ceremony was a testament to the hard work, dedication, sacrifice and perseverance of these students to achieve this significant milestone.

Four Houston Community College (HCC) campus Testing Centers have earned certification from the National College Testing Association (NCTA). The distinction is a mark of excellence in test administration, highlighting the commitment of HCC’s Testing Services to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, security and integrity.

Bank of America has selected Houston Community College Southeast as a 2024 Neighborhood Builder, awarding the college $200,000 to launch the Yellow Brick Road Project, an innovative initiative designed to transform access to higher education in Southeast Houston's underserved communities.

Houston Community College Chancellor Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher has signed one half of both the University of Houston's Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC Crosstown Agreements, establishing a collaborative agreement and a pathway to a commission in the Army or Air Force and completion of a baccalaureate degree.
