HCC will announce the donation of a Class 8 semi-truck by PepsiCo to HCC’s Heavy Vehicle, Diesel and Industrial Technology program at an event on Oct. 30, 2025.

Nine years ago, Rubén Durán and Charlotte Hamilton had a vision to transform a simple meeting room into a Virtual Reality Lab. As co-founders of HCC's first virtual reality lab in 2016, the duo visionaries created a learning space to empower students to turn learning into leadership, and innovation into opportunities. On Wednesday, Oct. 22, Their vision led to a ribbon cutting for the Innovation Hub for Immersive Learning at the HCC Central Campus.

HCC Interior Design students earned top honors at the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) 2025 Ruby Awards. HCC student Yue Shi received the Best Residential Student Award, recognizing her outstanding creativity and technical skill in residential interior design.

The HCC Pharmacy Technician Retail Certificate program is expanding to the HCC - North Forest campus in Spring 2026 to give more Houstonians an opportunity to fast-track into a healthcare career.
