    Marian Magdaniel always wanted to express herself through fashion and the creative arts. She loved drawing, painting, violin, guitar and design, and especially believed that fashion was a great way to make something “come to life on your own.” Now, the 28-year-old Venezuelan-born, Houston-raised fashion student at Houston Community College’s Central Campus has learned that her multiple artistic abilities have placed her in rarified air.

    A three-student team from Houston Community College Southwest has won the top prize at the Intel AI Global Impact Festival in San Jose, California. The annual festival gathers next-generation technologists, future developers, teachers and policymakers to learn and share innovations and impacts of artificial intelligence, according to Intel Corporation, an education partner of HCC’s AI program.
