From high-stakes critical care to establishing Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners in 2017, Khara recognized a gap in forensic nursing services and her organization is revolutionizing how sexual assault survivors get the care they desperately need. This “Top 20 Nurse” and “Most Admired CEO” is changing lives every day.

Khara is not only a leader, but she is also a visionary. As President-Elect of IAFN (International Association of Forensic Nurses), she is shaping the future of forensic nursing. Plus, she is driving crucial change right here in Texas on the Sexual Assault Survivors Task Force. Khara’s mother serves as the CFO and her daughter is the COO of Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners. Khara and her team are expanding vital services across 24 counties, reaching 100 hospitals and clinics through two satellite programs.
